Dr Scorrer helped with my daughters care from 2 days post birth when she was admitted to NICU and discharged her today at 11 months of age now that she is walking. We had a traumatic birth and she started having regular seizures so she had MRI scans which showed bleeds on the brain. We didn't know exactly what caused one of the bleeds so unsure whether she would have any developmental delays so he requested to keep her under his care until she reached her milestones and could walk. It was a very scary time at the beginning and he was extremely caring and even asked how we were doing and making sure we were looking after ourselves too. He has been brilliant and listened to all our worries and helped us through the difficult first few months. We will forever be grateful to him for his patience and understanding with us and taking such great care with our daughter and really going that extra mile trying to get to the bottom of what happened. Thankfully this story has a happy ending! She also suffers with reflux which is under control with medication and he has helped guide us to how to wean her off them when we feel able to.

Dr Scorrer is a great person. Being a doctot starts from being a good human being. He shows he cares just by the way he talks to the patients/carers. Being in nicu, where everyday is a roller coaster, he looks after each individual including collegues. He makes the environment around him very pleasant just by his presence. Even bad news from him is given great care to reach the reciever in a better way. Cannot recommend him and his service enough.

From the moment our baby arrived, the consultant, Dr Scorrer made us feel at ease, creating a bond between parents and staff. His paternalistic approach to our sons care encapsulated the NHS. Dr Scorrer made the majority of the decisions about our sons care, and his drop in conversions ensured we were supported, and fully aware of our sons care plan. Any potential risks were discussed at length, in laymen’s terms, and when questioned, Dr Scorrer provided us information from a biological stance. Dr Scorrer was throughly invested in our sons care, we couldn’t and we can’t fault him. He is clearly very well respected at amongst his colleague and his team or nurse practitioners.

My son was born with a fast heart rate that would not respond to medicine. Dr Tim took the time to explain everything to us at each stage of my son's treatment, going back and forth from where I was recovering to NICU to ensure that we were kept informed and were able to give our permissions as required. Dr Tim is an absolute credit to the QA NICU team. You can see his dedication and commitment to his profession and is knowledgeable and respectful. He explains everything so well and takes the time to listen and answer any questions that we as parents had - I am so pleased that Dr Tim was there for my son when we needed him.
